A soft-spoken hellsguard woman of twenty-four summers, Patient has always had a carefree, whimsical attitude towards life, which lends itself well to her pursuit of the arts. Though having received no formal training, she travels the breadth and width of Eorzea to capture its beauty in whatever form she deems fit - be it artworks, song, or dance.Her homelands are across the Sea of Jade - a small village in the Near East. Her family has always been supportive of her artistic ventures, and when she accompanied them on a trip to Eorzea and chose to remain behind, they continued to be so. Though they have long since returned home, she remains in contact with them regularly, sending them small tokens and trinkets she acquires or creates during her travels.Of Eorzea's varied sights, the Twelveswood in particular captured her heart. The peace that washes over her while dwarfed beneath the canopy is unlike any she has found elsewhere, and though not quite aware of it, the whispers of the elementals are likely the cause of the inspiration she feels while roaming between the trees or along the sun-dappled riverbanks. To this day, she maintains a small residence nestled away in a corner of the Black Shroud, and has forged fruitful friendships with the sylphs and moogles of the area.Lately she's picked up a passing interest in conjury, though she's far from disciplined in her practice and has yet to officially join the Conjurer's Guild in Gridania. On the other hand, she did join the Botanist's Guild and turned out to be a natural, filling her home with plant life from her travels (after ensuring she wasn't introducing any invasive species).Though unsure why, she has a particular affinity for the element of levin, which may or may not be why she finds herself drawn to the sylphs with their worship of Ramuh. The rolling of thunder is like that of a drum, and her soul dances to the rhythm in time - for what does the distant thunder fortell but the coming of a patient tempest?

Hi, I'm Meka - thanks for stopping by!I'm a really long-term RP lurker who can't bring myself to do any actual RP, but I love character building and backstory brainstorming sessions with friends, which I'll say is about one degree removed from the real thing based on how seriously I take it!Patient is a beloved but semi-dormant alt - I'm using her to play through the MSQ alongside a sprout friend who often has to unsub, which has limited her story progress as she gets parked in inn rooms to await his return (we're at the very start of 4.0 atm). Lately I've been bringing her to art parties though, which is what inspired the artist aspect of her backstory. Other stuff is figured out via brainstorming sessions with friends or, if the mood strikes, asks/prompts on my tumblr (which is very much not aesthetically themed to Patient, haha). Other than that, until/unless I scrounge up some bravery, please consider Patient a closed character, thanks!It's highly unlikely you'll ever see me with an RP tag on in-game, but entirely possible that I show up early to an art party to grab a good seat on either Patient or my main - so if you spot me, feel free to say hi!
